TB-500 (TB-4, short for Thymosin β4) is a naturally-occurring, 43-amino-acid peptide that plays a vital role in the repair and regeneration of injured cells and tissues by promoting cell migration, forming new blood vessels and regenerating the tissue as well as decreasing the number of myofibroblasts in wounds, resulting in decreased scar formation and fibrosis.
